Remember – GO!

So many things come to mind when I think of “Remember”.

I think of remembering the times when we were newly married, had all the time in the world for each other, and slept in most Saturday mornings.

I remember the time our first born was born and how completely helpless I felt at times to know how to be a mother.

I remember the funerals of 3 grandparents in the last 5 years and the sorrow of knowing one was not with our Lord, and the joy of knowing 2 others were singing and dancing in his presence.

I remember starting homeschooling last year and thinking it was going to be a great ride, and how utterly miserably I failed many a time, but learned from my mistakes and determined to make changes this year.

I remember going to Old Quebec City with my family, strolling the cobbled streets, seeing the cathedrals and feeling like I was in a fairy tale world. I remember I want to take my kids there one day, to sit on the cannons by the water and learn all the history of our great country.

I remember the people who have given their lives so that we might be free. To those who have served in the wars to obtain and secure freedom for Canada.
The Quiet Place by goose, on Pix-O-Sphere

But most of all, I remember who I am and who saved me, and I am grateful for the blood of Christ.
