1 cp sugar
1 cp butter, softened
1/4 cp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 3/4 cp flour
1/2 cp unsweetened cocoa
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
In large bowl combine sugar and butter. Beat til light and fluffy. Add next 3, blend well. Add next 4, mix well. Cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate 1 hour.
On lightly floured surface, roll out 1/3 of dough at a time to 1/8 inch thick (keep remaining dough in fridge). Cut w/ floured 2 1/2 inch star-shaped cookie cutter. Use a drinking straw to punch random holes in cutout stars. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake @ 350 for 8-11 minutes or until set. Immediately remove. Cool 15 minutes, sprinkle with icing sugar.
