4 From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

5 You meet him who joyfully works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we have sinned; in our sins we have been a long time, and shall we be saved?

8 But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Isaiah 64:4-5,8

There is no god anywhere who loves. There is no god anywhere whose followers serve out of love. Every god and idol and being that people worship, other than the one true God, they worship, follow and obey out of pure fear. Our God, the one true God, is not like that. No god acts on behalf of his followers (if it could act).

Our God, the one true God, loves to act for us, to love us, to show himself real to us, to mould us, to encourage us, to provide a way of escape for us. Never, ever, has there been a god like our God.

While there is an element of fear to our relationship with him, that fear is meant to bring us to our knees in surrender before him, knowing that we are unrighteous, unable to live our lives without his saving grace. And he longs to, loves to meet us there, in our humility.
Because of what he has done for me, because of how he loves me, loves everyone – with my knowledge and understanding of this, I want others to know. I want others to see the face of God, the hands of Jesus, the love of God and his Son, Jesus Christ, poured out for them. There has never been, and never will be, a god like our God.
Lord, help me to have a heart for showing others your truth and your love. Give me words of grace and love to minister to those who are hurting and in desperate need of you. Let me take every opportunity you bring my way, out of a love that overflows from my heart for you.
