Whenever we buy bagels from our favourite bakery, we buy a batch fresh for our lunch, then a few dozen day-olds at a reduced price. We freeze these and have a good month’s worth of lunches ready to go.
Sometimes in our few dozen bags we get a treat – chocolate chip bagels! They’re not exactly something I would normally serve for lunch, but as a snack? Yes! And as a toasted bagel chip? Even better!
Super Easy Snacks – Toasted Bagel Chips
- bagels, sliced
- sugar (optional)
Slice your bagels into small rings – you can slice them the small way or larger, it’s totally up to you!
Place 2 bagels into a ziplock bag with 1-2 tablespoons melted butter. Shake to coat. Add a little sugar (if you want) and shake again.
Bake bagel chips in a 325 degree F oven for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy.
