Combine and let stand for 20 minutes:
1 cp quick oatmeal
1 1/4 cp boiling water

Cream together until fluffy:
1/2 cp butter
1 cp brown sugar
1 cp sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Add oatmeal mixture. Beat well.
Sift together:
1 1/2 cp flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon

Add to creamed mixture and beat well. Pour into greased and floured 9×13 pan. Bake @ 350 for 35 or until tests done.

COCONUT TOPPING:
1/2 cp brown sugar
1/3 cp butter
1/4 cp cream or milk
1/2 cp chopped nuts
1 cp coconut

Spread on hot cake and broil 2-4 minutes until brown. Watch closely!
