(From the Gypsy Mama)

Around here we write for five minutes flat on Fridays.

We write because we want to, not because we have to. We write for fun, for joy, for discovery.

We just write without worrying if it’s just write or not.

Won’t you join us?

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.

2. Link back here and invite others to join in.

3. Please visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them.

REAL

As believers, we are called to be united, of one heart and mind, to follow and serve Christ, to love others, to obey God. There are so many things which would tempt us to pull apart – pride, traditions, envy, greed, stress, type of work, etc. Satan will use many things to get us to “fall off the wagon”, to create a divide amongst believers. I know it is easy for me to compare myself to others, to see how they are doing, what they are doing, and to either feel proud or to be jealous and discontent.

God wants us to be united, to have everything in common, to share our time, effort, desires, plans, prayers and resources with each other. He wants us to be REAL with each other – not pretending to be someone else or hiding behind our families, background, beliefs.

He wants me to be generous with others and not selfishly seeking to serve myself. He wants me to serve him, and to love him with my whole heart. He wants me to REALLY love, the kind of love that he has for me, agape.

Just as we are, we are to love. No strings attached, no requirements, no expectations, no trying to change them – REAL love knows no bounds, shows no fear, has no hesitation, loves no matter what.

I want that kind of REAL love – for my God, my family, my friends, people I haven’t yet met – and the only way to this REAL love is abiding in Christ, every minute, every second, of every day. I am willing to do what it takes.
